Patricia McGuinness, Principal 

Patricia is an audience development professional with over 15 years experience in database management, marketing, and lead generation strategy in B2B media companies. 

Most recently, Patricia served as Audience Development Director for the In-Store Marketing Institute from 2001 - 2009.  During her tenure, she contributed her audience development expertise to help manage the company's transition from a a traditional B2B publishing company into a multi-media educational association.  This transformation included the creation of the In-Store Marketing Institute, which has grown from a start-up idea in 2004 to a thriving industry association.  Its membership includes more than 500 consumer packaged goods manufacturers, retailers, advertising, and point-of-purchase member-companies and 5,000 licensed users.  

In May 2009, Patricia established Shoestring Business Marketing.  This boutique consulting firm concentrates on assisting businesses with limited marketing resources leverage the web.  Using cost-effective inbound marketing and social media tools, Patricia helps companies build and engage online audiences, grow and leverage customer / prospect databases, and develop lead generation strategies to drive traffic, increase pagerank, and the online reputation of client organizations - all on a shoestring budget.  

Karen Ebbesmeyer, Circulation & Database Specialist

Karen has 15 years experience in circulation and database management.  She began her career in publishing as Circulation Director for Insite Business Media, a Missouri-based media company with 4 business titles and a total circulation of 50,000+ and continued on in that role when the company was required by Mercor Media in October 2001.  In 2005, she established herself as a circulation consultant and continues to assist B2B publishers manage their circulation and database requirements in that capacity.  Her circulation expertise includes the management of BPA requirements, including record-keeping and audit regulations and filing.
